What a great time it was on the Square for the June 14th concert featuring the great soulful sounds of Dani McCulloch! Crowds began gathering at 5:00 p.m. to pick out a nice spot in the park.
Aims Gang will return this year on June 21st offering their great sounds of classic rock. Originally formed in 1997 of local musicians, many of whom played with other bands in the 60s and 70s, the AIMS Gang progressed from the ultimate “garage band” to rapidly becoming known as one of Memphis’ ultimate party bands. The group performs music from the 50s through many of today’s songs, emphasizing classic rock and roll with a flair for the Memphis sound. The group has appeared at Beale Street’s Hard Rock Cafe, Silky O’Sullivan’s, and AutoZone Park for the Memphis Redbirds.
The June 21st concert also serves as the yearly “Bike Night” where motorcycle enthusiasts are encouraged to cruise down to the Square and enjoy the concert. Bike Night is brought special to the public by AIMS Logistics.
The concert is from 7-9 p.m. No pets or alcohol allowed. The park is handicapped accessible.
The concert series is sponsored by our title sponsor First Tennessee and co-sponsors Back Yard Burger and Boyle Investments along with AIMS Logistics and the Greater Memphis Community Foundation; Hart Properties, Baptist Memorial Hospital Collierville, Pepsi Americas, YMCA Schilling Farms, Wal-Mart, Memphis Grizzlies, and the 20th Century Club. Of course none of this is possible without the support of the Collierville community, Town of Collierville, Parks and Recreation, Public Works and the Collierville Police Department.
