16th ANNUAL SUNSET ON THE SQUARE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Main Street Collierville’s 2007 Sunset on the Square Summer Concert Series continue to great entertainment for the entire family. Funk de Ville, a 70s retro band, played the Square on Thursday, July 5th, offering many the opportunity join in the Electric Slide!
The concerts continue on Thursday July 12th with the Eric Hughes Band, an amplified, up-tempo, electric five-piece Blues band. The group, featuring Eric “Scrappie” Hughes, plays vintage Blues favorites as well as award-winning original songs. The group features Eric Hughes with lead vocals, guitar, harmonica, and dobro; Laura Hughes on bass guitar and vocals; “Memphis” Mike Forrest on guitar; Robert “Nighthawk” Tooms on keyboard and organ: and James Cunningham on drums.
The concert is from 7-9 p.m. at the Confederate Park located at the corner of Mulberry and Main Streets in downtown Collierville. Please, no pets or alcohol allowed. The park is handicapped accessible.
Main Street Collierville along with Title Sponsor, First Tennessee, and co-sponsors Boyle Investments and Back Yard Burgers along with AIMS Logistics and the Collierville Community Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis and Community Sponsors which include Hart Properties, Baptist Memorial Hospital – Collierville, Pepsi Americas, YMCA Schilling Farms, Wal-Mart, Memphis Grizzlies, and the 20th Century Club bring the concerts to the community free of charge. Of course the concerts would not be possible without the support of the Collierville community, Town of Collierville, Parks and Recreation, Public Works and the Collierville Police Department.
