SUNSET ON THE SQUARE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
The Memphis Sound Band Returns to Concert Series on June 5th

The Memphis Sound Band, the official performing artist of the Memphis Redbirds, will be the featured entertainment at Main Street Collierville’s 17th Annual Sunset on the Square Summer Concert Series opening evening. The band plays a variety of Memphis music such as “Mustang Sally,” “Proud Mary,” and “Let’s Stay Together’” to name a few.

The Memphis Sound band is comprised of the finest vocalists and musicians in Memphis Music today. Lead female vocalist Jackie Johnson, awarded the Memphis Premiere Player Award for Best Female Vocalist, recently performed three songs for the major motion picture soundtrack of the Denzel Washington/Forest Whitaker movie. Jackie’s vocals are complimented by male lead vocalist and key boardist, Woody Degan, who originated and produces the band. Bassist extra-ordinaire Neal Bowen is the musical Director and resident theory expert. With live horns, and five vocalists, the Memphis Sound Band not only has a Big sound, but a tight musical presentation for all to enjoy.
