SUNSET ON THE SQUARE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Wolf River Rednecks Perform at Concert Series
Presented by Main Street Collierville

It was another beautiful evening in Downtown Collierville’s Historic District, as friends and family gathered for the first concert of the 2008 series. Attendance for the kick-off concert was well attended to hear The Memphis Sound Band, with attendance for the award winning Southeast Tourism Top 20 event exceeding 2000. Crowds gathered at the many vendors and enjoyed strolling the Town Square shops and dining opportunities in Downtown.
The next concert is June 12th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. featuring the hometown band of Wolf River Rednecks playing rock, blues and country. This group has been playing in the local and regional area for the past 5 years featuring Jeff “Gator” Gaither on guitar/vocals, Mark ”Crow” Crawley-keyboard, Chuck “Pops” Whitaker-bass/vocals, Sammy “Slammin” Whitaker- guitar-vocals and Dave “ Diamond Dave” Moroshak-drums/vocals.
“First Tennessee is excited to once again be the title sponsor for the Sunset on the Square concert series. This is such a great event and to have the opportunity to give back to the community in this way is what we enjoy doing” stated Tamara Swain, First Tennessee Bank VP/Collierville branch. Concerts are held every Thursday night in June and July (no concert July 3rd) at Confederate Park in downtown Collierville from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Laura Todd, Executive Director of Main Street encourages everyone to experience this signature community event.
The concert series is sponsored by our title sponsor First Tennessee and co-sponsor Back Yard Burger along with Entertainment Sponsors, Lander’s Ford & Main Street Garage. Community sponsors Town of Collierville, Hart Properties, Baptist Hospital-Collierville, Rotary Foundation of Collierville, 20th Century Club of Collierville, Memphis Grizzlies, Dominoe’s Pizza, Pepsi Americas, Delta Fair, and KIS Golf Academy.
